According to legend Icarus died when he flew to close to the sun because the wax which was keeping his wings together melted because of the heat of the sun. He then fell down into the sea where he drowned. I thought it would be nice to translate his story into a space scenery where a comet named Icarus passes too close to the surface of a star causing the comet to break apart and burn up.
Still not entirely content with the coronal mass ejection though.
you are right, the ejection seems too defined (maybe some blur?)
normally these type of scenes have very warm colors, this one feels "cold" rather than hot...don't know if I like it more or not, but definitely original, also the perspective and sense of scale are very well achieved.
Yeah, you've got a good point,there. There's always that tension between showing what is fact, and what people expect. I think the CME looks great, by the way!
