Did a quick run on making an impression of the sun with the help of keepwalking07's tutorial.
It turned out to be quite easy! Coronal mass ejections are fractals made by r0man-de.
The black "dot" is actually Mercurius passing in front of the sun

you just have to put cloud layers with yellow or orange colors one on top of the other with fusion styles like screen, overlay,multiply... normally dozens of layers, and there you have almost a sun.

That is exactly what i did, athough I found a much better solution to create the surface texture of a star. Results will be uploaded in another project within a week or so!

that's the easy way later you can complicate it all you want, in space art with photoshop small efforts can pay off in big results, which is great for beginners so they don't quit to soon.
